Job summary

Katmai Government Services seeks a Surgical Technologist to assist the Lead Technician in the day-to-day operations of the clinic, the work of the Polysomnographic technicians, the management of support staff, and the ordering and maintaining of supplies.

Responsibilities include performing scrub duties in the Operating Room, maintaining sterile instruments and supplies, assisting anesthesia personnel with patient positioning, and supporting postoperative care in a fast-paced military medical

Qualifications

• English reading/writing/speaking required.
• Completion of an accredited surgical service and clinical course.
• Must maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical patient care activities.
• Transport patients and records to/from OR and recovery.
• Assist with routing medical materiel management.
• Perform routine safety checks and preventive maintenance on medical equipment.
• Perform scrub duties in the Operating Room, including gowning, gloving, and passing instruments.
• Prepare and maintain sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment; assist with drapes and sterile field.
