Job summary

The Blodgett Hospital OR team at Corewell Health in Grand Rapids seeks a dedicated Surgical Technician to assist in intra-operative care, prep, delivery and clean-up of procedures in a high-tech environment.

You will support anesthesia, ensure sterile supplies, assemble equipment, and maintain patient safety while working Monday–Friday, 36 hours weekly, day shift, 0700–1530, with benefits and a strong team focus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of relevant patient care experience preferred.
• 1 year of relevant operating room experience preferred.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation, delivery and clean-up of patient care during the intra-operative phase.
• Contributes to the smooth operation of the unit and obtains equipment, sterile supplies and instruments.
• Assembles surgical supplies for rooms and case tables; opens sterile supplies for procedures.
• Cleans equipment and work areas, decontamination and returns unneeded items to the appropriate department.
• Sets up anesthesia machines and runs tests to ensure proper airflow.
