Job summary

Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, NH is seeking an Operating Room Assistant to support daily OR operations, patients, and facilities. This full-time role is Monday–Friday day shift with occasional call.

Responsibilities include cleaning the OR per AORN standards, assisting the RN with lateral transfers, and helping position patients on a surgical bed under RN direction. High school diploma and 1 year healthcare or customer service experience required; LNA/CMA/EMT preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1 year of healthcare and/or customer service experience.
• LNA/CMA/EMT preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operations of the Operating Room staff, patients, and facilities.
• Perform cleaning of OR in accordance with AORN and regulatory standards.
• Assist the registered nurse in lateral transfers of patients.
• Assist with positioning a patient on a surgical bed under the direction of an RN and in accordance with AORN standards.
