Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Madison is seeking a part-time Surgical Suite support role to assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing indirect patient care and unit maintenance.

Responsibilities include stocking operating rooms, restocking equipment, and ensuring smooth workflow in the perioperative environment. Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or 10 years of experience; no prior experience required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience

Responsibilities

• Prepares for surgery daily by stocking operating rooms per PAR levels and checking case carts for instrumentation needs.
• Restocks warmers and transports supplies from central supply as needed.
• Performs daily diagnostic checks and records sterilization equipment functioning.
• Maintains anesthesia equipment cleanliness and aids in moving equipment between areas.
• Assists in maintaining unit efficiency and supports pre/post op areas and PACU as needed.
• Communicates effectively with OR staff to ensure smooth workflow.
