Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in The Woodlands, TX, is seeking an OR Attendant to support the Operating Room team. This full‑time role works Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, with call 1–2 times per month and requires lifting up to 50 pounds.

You will assist nurses and help maintain the OR to ensure safe, efficient patient care. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred, and you must be able to follow oral and written instructions as well as perform duties involving standing, walking,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to read and write English
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Assists with physical preparation of patient and physical environment prior to surgery; transports and transfers patients as necessary
• Functions as a porter between departments ensuring required medical supplies, information, specimens, and products are delivered in a timely fashion
• Ensures safe care to patients adhering to policies, procedures, and standards of care, within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, and accuracy of practice
• Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization
• Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences. Models Memorial Hermann’s service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues
