Job Summary

• OR Attendant, Full-time Monday through Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
• One year of previous experience in the operating room required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Will be responsible for maintenance of the unit, stocking supplies and preparing the rooms for the next case.
• This position is located in the Orthopedic OR at Memorial City Hospital.

Principal Accountabilities

• Assists with physical preparation of patient and physical environment prior to surgery according to the age/needs of the patient/population served; transports and transfers patients as necessary.
• Functions as a porter between departments ensuring required medical supplies, information, specimens, and products are delivered in a timely fashion.
• Ensures safe care to patients adhering to policies, procedures, and standards of care, within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, and accuracy of practice.
• Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
• Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences.
• Models Memorial Hermann’s service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues.
