Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and completion of OR oriented orientation; minimum age 17.
• Requires CPR certification before the 90-day introductory period.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and anatomy; post-procedure care.
• Ability to read doctor preference cards and order case carts and supplies clearly.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently and handle interruptions while coordinating with staff.

Responsibilities

• Set up assigned operating rooms by obtaining equipment, sterile supplies, and positioning aids.
• Assist in peri-operative patient care including transport, casting, prepping, and monitoring.
• Maintain and clean ORs and related areas; ensure proper waste disposal and linen handling.
• Provide courier services for supplies, equipment, blood, etc., as needed; orient new staff to OR routines.
• Perform other duties as assigned and assist in ensuring compliance with policies.
