Job summary

Phoebe Putney Health System is seeking a dedicated OR support staff member to assist surgical teams and nurses in providing patient care in the operating room. The role involves room turnover, positioning patients, and maintaining sterile conditions throughout procedures.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, 1-2 years of related experience, and BLS certification. Experience in an operating room is preferred and helps ensure smooth, safe patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1-2 years work experience preferred.
• Previous operating room experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• ROOM TURNOVER: Assist surgical team to accomplish room turnover efficiently and timely.
• Assist in moving and positioning patients to and from stretcher and operating room table.
• Clean operating rooms following asepsis and disinfection principles to maintain a clean environment.
• Remove trash and linen between procedures.
• Set up housekeeping supplies for turnover, clean scrub sinks area, keep floors dry.
• Stock scrub sinks with soap, towels, and supplies.
