Beacon Health System is hiring a full-time day shift CVOR Registered Nurse for our Surgery Department at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN.

The role supports the surgical team by preparing the suite, coordinating equipment, and assisting through each procedure. It requires an RN license in Indiana and OR experience, with a perioperative training program available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required in Indiana.
• Surgical/OR experience preferred; perioperative training available.
• Completion of an accredited nursing program and RN license in Indiana.
• Within 5 years of employment as an RN, obtain a BSN or certification in your area of specialty.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills; effective communication with the care team.

Responsibilities

• Interview and transport patients.
• Assist anesthesia with induction and emergence.
• Position and prep patients for procedures.
• Maintain a sterile environment and document intraoperative activities.
• Support turnover and patient transport as needed.
• Perform high‑risk technical procedures per standards and protocols.
• Develop and revise individualized care plans reflecting patient goals and needs.
• Communicate effectively with team to achieve positive outcomes.
• Advocate for patients and families and participate in problem solving.
