Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast is seeking a Sterile Process Technician to support operating rooms and related units. You will inventory, decontaminate, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring quality and timely processing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from certified sterile processing technician program.
• Must obtain SPD certification within 6 months of hire.
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, assemble, sterilize and dispense surgical/aspiration instrumentation.
• Prepare case carts and operate washers and sterilizers per IFU and policy.
• Verify pre/post sterilization quality indicators and report issues.
• Maintain accurate inventory using instrument tracking system.
• Participate in onboarding and ongoing training of team members.
• Work shift: Day shift; support on-call as required.
