Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK is hiring an Operating Room Assistant II to support nursing staff in the OR. This full-time, day-shift role aims to maintain a safe, clean, hazard-free environment for patient care.

Responsibilities include handling equipment, transporting patients, decontaminating rooms and equipment, and performing routine maintenance under RN supervision. Required BLS at hire; 6 months internal OR experience or 1 year external OR experience; CNA training

Qualifications

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association required at hire.
• 1 year OR experience externally or 6 months internal OR Assistant I with competency program.

Responsibilities

• Provides general support to Nursing staff in the Operating Room.
• Maintains a safe, hazard-free, clean environment for patient care.
• Handles equipment and supplies; cleans and decontaminates ORs and equipment.
• Transports patients and operates routine maintenance on OR equipment.
• Assists with patient care under RN supervision and Lead OR.
