Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking an Orders, Receives, and Distributes Specialist for Surgical Services. The role focuses on maintaining optimal inventory levels, requisitioning supplies, and supporting operating room case needs with precise picking and timely vendor coordination.

Responsibilities include inventory control, documentation, and collaboration with clinical staff to ensure cost-effective, compliant supply management and accurate billing support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Required.
• 2 years of inventory management experience.
• Prior hospital inventory training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures service level for Surgical Services by accurately acquiring required supplies and managing inventory to meet budget.
• Performs daily picking of inventory for operating room cases and maintains accurate location in the inventory system.
• Coordinates with vendors to return low usage or overstocked supplies and facilitates recalls or product changes as needed.
• Maintains documentation and tracking databases for implants and CMS-reported items to support accurate billing and inventory control.
