Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an OR Service Coordinator to plan, organize, and direct specialty surgical services. This role collaborates with charge RNs, surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative teams to ensure efficient, high-quality care across surgical services.

Responsibilities include evaluating service needs, managing equipment and implants, and leading initiatives for safety, quality, and cost containment. Minimum RN license in NJ with OR experience is required.

Qualifications

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License is required.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• 3–5 years of operating room/surgical experience.
• Leadership experience and ability to work in a cohesive leadership team.
• BSN degree preferred; CNOR certification encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct surgical services within the OR.
• Oversee training, supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for surgical care.
• Conduct rounds and coordinate with RN, surgeons, anesthesia, perioperative team, and SPD.
• Ensure on-time starts and efficient room turnover; support cost containment and value analysis.
• Lead performance management and regulatory readiness activities for the department.
• Collaborate with perioperative management to set standards, policies and workflows.
