Job summary

Animas Surgical Hospital seeks a skilled surgical tech to prepare and maintain medical equipment, instruments, and supplies for procedures. Under supervision of an RN or physician, you will assist with patient care and ensure sterile technique throughout the operative environment.

You will verify readiness of supplies, participate in instrument counts, and support room turnover while adhering to infection control and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR certification required; DORA registration.
• 2 years surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain medical equipment, instruments and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Assist with surgical patient care under supervision of an RN or physician.
• Verify supplies and equipment are ready prior to surgery; communicate deficiencies.
• Maintain sterile field and aseptic technique during procedures.
• Perform room turnover and instrument counts; document discrepancies as needed.
• Support adherence to infection control policies and safety guidelines.
