Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in North Carolina is looking for an experienced registered nurse to join the Operating Room team. This fast-paced Level 1 Trauma center supports a wide range of surgical modalities across 40 OR suites, including pediatric care in Brenner Children's Hospital.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, strong clinical judgment, and collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia, and recovery staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in NC or applicable state(s).
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans with the care team.
• Upholds a culture of safety and adheres to ethical standards.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication and teamwork across disciplines.
• Pursues ongoing professional development and maintains certifications.
• Delegates appropriately to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed personnel.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation and records.
• May float to other units as needed to meet patient care needs.
