Qualifications

• RN licensed in the appropriate state; BSN required.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience; management experience preferred.

• Strong leadership, interview and supervision experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Supports the manager to enhance nursing practice and delivery of care in the department.
• Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Coordinates communication via regular staff meetings/huddles to share information.
• Ensures compliance with federal/state laws, healthcare regulations and policies.
• Rounds on patients, staff, and physicians to gauge care quality and operations.
• Delegates care to appropriate healthcare workers per policy; guides outcomes.
• Assists in evaluating progress toward goals and shares results with teammates.
• Performs nursing care, treatments, and administers medications as needed.
• Manages patient flow and staffing through ongoing assessment of volume and acuity.
