Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) in Orangeburg, SC, hires an operating room nurse to provide circulating and/or scrub services during procedures and support the surgical team as needed.

New graduates or experienced RNs with an SC license are welcome. CPR and ACLS are required; prior OR scrubbing/circulating is preferred. 40 hours per week, Day shift, competitive benefits and sign-on possible.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in SC or compact state
• CPR and ACLS certification required
• Experience scrubbing and circulating in OR preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for scheduled procedures and assists in assessment.
• Monitors patient condition and reports changes to staff.
• Provides direct patient care, assists physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Maintains knowledge of OR equipment and can instruct personnel.
• Writes nursing histories and develops care plans for OR patients.
• Ensures accurate recording of patient medical records.
