Job summary

Baptist Health in Fleming Island, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Operating Room team. This PRN position carries a call requirement and involves circulating in the OR, patient advocacy, and care coordination from admission to PACU transfer.

Ideal candidates have 2-3 years in Surgical Services and Critical Care nursing, hold an ASN (BSN preferred), and are licensed RNs with BLS and ACLS. CNOR/CCRN and Conscious Sedation credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have 2-3 years Surgical Services Experience.
• Must have 2-3 years Critical Care Nursing Experience.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• BLS Required; ACLS and Conscious Sedation Certification beneficial.
• CNOR/CCR N certification preferred; RN licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Providing for patient needs using the nursing process and organizational mission.
• Supervision of care by supportive personnel and coordination with ancillary services.
• Involve patients and families in developing an individualized care plan.
• Educate patients and families about disease process and plan of care.
• Coordinate and prepare assigned room/case and anticipate care needs.
• Position requires call.
