Job summary

HSHS is seeking qualified registered nurses to join a PRN pool across communities in Illinois and Wisconsin. The role involves providing compassionate care, coordinating with physicians, and guiding families through care plans in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Candidates must be licensed as an RN, with a BSN preferred, and available for at least two shifts per month. Competitive benefits and weekend differentials are offered. Location: Springfield, IL.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program eligible for state licensure.
• RN license in-state practice is required; multi-state licensure acceptable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Promote and restore health by completing the nursing process with the care team.
• Supervise assigned team members and collaborate with physicians and staff.
• Educate patients and families on condition, medications, and self-care.
• Ensure quality of care by adhering to standards and monitoring outcomes.
