Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital is seeking an Operating Room RN in Hilton Head Island to provide patient-centered perioperative care. You will evaluate patients before surgery, educate families, prepare patients, and participate in site verification and universal protocols.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. RNs must hold an ADN and a current RN license with BLS within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of start date

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery
• Provide patient and family education about procedure and peri-operative process
• Prepare patient including IV therapy and preoperative meds
• Perform surgical site verification and universal protocols
• Respond to patient emergencies and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
• Collaborate with provider, surgeons, techs, and leadership
• Apply nursing process with critical thinking and clinical judgment
• Monitor patient condition and document changes accurately
• Educate patients and families about medical condition, treatment, and follow-up
