Job summary

Abington Memorial Hospital, part of Jefferson Health, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. Welcome in the night shift, with a 36-hour weekly schedule (7:00 pm–7:00 am). Periop 101 preferred; circulating and scrubbing experience valued.

The RN will apply evidence-based practice while caring for diverse patient populations in a fast-paced perioperative setting. Minimum qualifications include a specialized nursing diploma and PA/NJ RN licenses with BLS.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered practice and cultural awareness
• Active RN license in state of practice; BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, patients, and families to deliver optimal healthcare.
• Partners with patients and families to identify learning needs and provide education.
• Uses information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, and monitor outcomes of care.
