Abington Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to join our night shift team. The role emphasizes perioperative care, patient-centered planning, and collaboration with the surgical team to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes.

The position requires prior operating room experience, professional nursing licensure in PA or NJ, and a commitment to ongoing learning and patient advocacy. Night shifts cover a 7:00 pm–7:00 am schedule, with a 36-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with a specialized diploma.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered practice and respectful collaboration.
• Cultural awareness to care for diverse patient populations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and teams across disciplines.
• Knowledge of discharge planning and post-discharge needs.
• Proficiency in health information documentation and care coordination.
• Current RN license in PA or NJ and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients, families, and staff with respect and care.
• Educates patients and families about learning priorities and care plans.
• Uses information technology to monitor care outcomes and drive quality improvement.
• Works within nursing and inter-professional teams to provide safe, compassionate care.
