Job summary

Abington Memorial Hospital, part of Jefferson Health, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. This full-time night shift role runs 7:00 pm–7:00 am, totaling 36 hours weekly, with perioperative 101 and circulating/scrubbing experience preferred.

The RN applies nursing processes to address each patient’s unique needs, respecting cultural beliefs and family involvement. Minimum qualifications include an accredited nursing diploma and NJ RN license; preferred BSN and 1 year OR experience.

Qualifications

• Specialized diploma graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in the state of practice (NJ required).
• Knowledge of patient education and discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients and families to deliver safe, personalized care.
• Partners with patients to identify learning needs and provide education.
• Uses information technology to monitor outcomes and support care processes.
• Works within inter-professional teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Participates in safety and quality improvement activities.
