Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is seeking an Operating Room RN – First Assistant to deliver exceptional patient care using the nursing process, with accountability for assigned patients and coordination of care across departments. The role demands leadership and evaluation of other caregivers while upholding Mercy’s mission and standards.

The position is full-time (40 hrs/week, 4 days/10 hours) with shift 11:00am–9:30pm and limited call requirements.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Missouri.
• Minimum 2 years intraoperative experience as both scrub and circulating nurse; 3+ years preferred.
• BLS/ACLS – required within 1 year of hire; CNOR and RN-First Assistant certification required within 1 year. Preferred CNOR, CRNFA.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care in collaboration with other departments.
• Ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and evaluation of other caregivers.
