Job summary

HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services team. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure high-quality, efficient care in a bustling surgical environment and support a collaborative, patient-centered culture.

You will assess and plan intra-operative care, assist surgeons, maintain accurate patient records, and administer medications per order, contributing to outstanding outcomes and a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or compact license with active FL RN within 60 days.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills; proficient with PC systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care of intra-operative patients.
• Assist surgeons in operative procedures.
• Maintain and review patients' records including test results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
