Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in Newark is seeking an Operating Room RN to join our collaborative team. The RN will perform comprehensive patient assessments, administer evidence-based meds and care, and participate in perioperative planning with physicians and staff.

You will document accurately in EPIC EMR, participate in rounds, and engage in ongoing professional growth through clinical ladder opportunities and education resources.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients and families.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care.
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care transitions.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment and growth opportunities.
