Job summary

Responsibilities include planning, delivering and coordinating perioperative nursing care, collaborating with physicians and staff, and documenting patient outcomes. A BSN is preferred, with ADN acceptable if the BSN is pursued within three years.

Qualifications

• Must hold a State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; ADN acceptable with plan to obtain BSN within 3 years.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with team.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for acutely ill patients in the Operating Room using the nursing process.
• Coordinate care with physicians, staff, and family; delegate tasks appropriately.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; document outcomes and progress.
• Participate in governance, committees, and unit projects as required.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust plans accordingly.
• Utilize evidence-based practice to guide clinical decisions.
