Job summary

Northern Nevada Health System's Sierra Medical Center in Reno, NV is seeking a CVOR/Registered Nurse for full-time day shift. You will provide direct patient care across the surgical population from infant to geriatric, coordinating with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure readiness and safety.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance and pain management inventory, plus participation in performance-improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Current NV RN license is required.
• At least 1 year of operating room experience.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates supportive bedside report practices with IMAP & SBAR.
• Responds to anxiety or distress with appropriate actions and involves Social Services as needed.
• Provides patient explanations and verbal reassurances consistently.
• Formulates an individualized care plan and evaluates its effectiveness.
• Identifies physical symptoms and timely actions to address changes.
