Job summary

Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, Illinois, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within the operating room setting. The role includes assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care in alignment with nursing standards.

The position features 8-hour days, call duties once per week and approximately every 7-8th weekend, with a 45-minute call response time. OR experience is preferred to support surgical services.

Qualifications

• RN licensed with a nursing diploma or associate degree.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families on managing illness, home care, and medication administration.
• Contributes to patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance and participates in professional development.
• Develops and documents individualized care plans with goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and family.
