Job summary

Alton Memorial Hospital is seeking an RN to provide direct patient care in the operating room, following established nursing standards. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the interprofessional team.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, safety, and communication across care transitions, with a 8-hour day schedule and a rotating call requirement.

Qualifications

• RN license required and active.
• Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience: No Experience or up to 2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and families on illness management, post-treatment home care, and medication administration.
• Participates in patient safety, quality, and regulatory activities; supports professional development.
• Develops and documents care plans with goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient/family.
• Assesses patient needs across physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and population contexts.
