Job summary

Central Carolina Hospital is seeking an experienced OR Registered Nurse to join the Surgery/OR team on a full-time schedule (Mon-Fri, 6:45 AM–3:15 PM), with minimum on-call shifts and a weekend rotation. North Carolina licensure, BLS, ACLS within specified timelines, and 1–2 years OR experience are required.

The role emphasizes comprehensive patient assessments, timely interventions, and meticulous documentation, contributing to high-quality, patient-centered care in a rural community hospital

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina State License or Compact License with North Carolina endorsement.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Associate's degree in nursing is required (Bachelor's degree is preferred)
• 1-2 years of Operating Room RN experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
