Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, part of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking a Day Shift OR Nurse (RN) for the Main Operating Room. The RN will deliver intraoperative care, perform circulating and scrub duties, position patients, prep sites, and maintain sterile technique in collaboration with the surgical team.

Minimum qualifications include an Accredited nursing program graduate with an Associate degree in Nursing and a Connecticut RN license.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• Valid RN license in Connecticut.
• Ideal candidates must have 1 or more years of intraoperative nursing experience, including circulating and scrub experience.

Description:

Position Purpose: At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center , the Main Operating Room RN delivers safe, high-quality care to surgical patients.

What You Will Do:

Provide intraoperative care by performing circulating and/or scrub duties, including patient positioning, site prep, instrumentation, and sterile technique.

Preferred:

Current BLS/CPR (AHA or Red Cross)

Important Consideration ***

This role is not designed for new graduates or those seeking training through the Periop 101 program. Candidates must be able to function independently in the OR.

Position Highlights:

• Full-Time: 40 hrs/week - Day Shift
• Rotating weekends/holidays; on-call required
• Specialty pay is available exclusively to experienced nurses with one or more years of RN experience
• Hourly position, included in RN Step Program pay range: $36.15 to $59.95
