Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Tech for the operating room. You will support the licensed nurse, assist with turnover of the OR, transfer patients safely, and maintain clean, organized rooms while protecting patient privacy.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent; CNA/Health Support Professional training is preferred. CPR/BLS and mandatory reporter training are required; shifts are 9:00–17:30, with 40 hours per week and no calls

Qualifikationen

• Previous Patient Care Tech or CNA experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA/Health Support Program or related education preferred.

• Provide safe and effective patient care under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Communicate accurate and timely information at handoffs with patients, families and coworkers.
• Maintain patient privacy and proper room/department hygiene.
• Assist with turnover of operating rooms after procedures and logs.
• Prioritize tasks within scope of responsibility and assist in quality improvement opportunities.
