NYC Health and Hospitals seeks an Assistant Director of the Operating Room in Brooklyn to lead nursing services and education programs. The role focuses on planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating OR services within a major clinical division, ensuring high-quality patient care and staff development.

Ideal candidates will have a Master’s in Nursing Administration or related field, plus extensive nursing leadership experience and NYS licensure.

Qualificações

• Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration, Education, Clinical Specialty, or equivalent field.
• Or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing with additional experience.
• Five years of nursing experience with three years in supervisory or teaching capacity; or six years with four years supervisory/teaching.
• Licensed and currently registered to practice as a professional nurse in New York State.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in developing policies, objectives, and standards of nursing service and education.
• Assist in the preparation of personnel, supply, and equipment budgets.
• Assist in the development of administrative procedures and programs of patient care.
• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and evaluate nursing service across a major clinical division.
• Assist with planning, organization, and conduct of a nursing education program.
• Plan and direct nursing service during evening and night tours.
• Direct activities of Supervisor of Nurses.
• Prepare and present reports on staff and patient management.
• Participate in quality assurance program for nursing.
• Attend and chair staff meetings with nursing personnel.
