Job summary

UPMC St. Margaret is seeking a Professional Staff Nurse, OR, to care for patients across a wide range of surgical specialties in a fast-paced, highly skilled environment. You'll join a collaborative team that supports growth and delivers exceptional patient care. Orientation is Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

After orientation, shifts include 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates accountability for professional development that improves patient care and practice environment.
• Applies the nursing process to create a healing environment and partner with patients.
• Provides teaching to patients, families and staff, supporting learning and transition of care.
• Participates in quality improvement to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
• Builds relationships and communicates effectively with the care team and patients.
