Job summary

UPMC Hamot is seeking an Experienced Full-Time Sr. Professional Staff Nurse, BSN for the General Surgery Operating Room. The role covers night shifts, weekends, and on-call, with 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts and a $2.00 night shift differential for eligible participants.

Experienced Full-Time Professional Staff Nurse – General Surgery (Operating Room)

UPMC Hamot | Night Shift

UPMC Hamot is seeking a Full-Time Sr. Professional Staff Nurse, BSN to join our General Surgery Operating Room team. This role supports a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical environment and requires night shifts, weekends, and on-call coverage. 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shift options are available. Eligible Night Program participants will receive an additional $2.00 per hour night shift differential. External candidates may be eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus.

Prior OR nursing experience is highly preferred

The Senior Professional Staff Nurse, BSN – OR is an experienced Registered Nurse who provides high-quality, patient-centered care while serving as a clinical leader and resource for the care team. This role combines direct patient care with leadership, collaboration, mentorship, and evidence-based practice to support positive outcomes for patients and families.

Working closely with physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals, the Senior Professional Staff Nurse coordinates care across the continuum, promotes a safe and compassionate environment, and contributes to ongoing improvements in quality, patient experience, and professional nursing practice.

Title and salary will be determined based on education and nursing experience.
