Job summary

Duke Health in Durham, NC is seeking registered nurses to join the New to the Operating Room Training Program for the February 2027 cohort. The program spans six to nine months, with an initial schedule of 5-8's from 8am-4:30pm, across Duke facilities in Durham and surrounding campuses.

Open to new grads and experienced RNs without OR experience, with start date February 22, 2027 and NC RN licensure required by then. Interviews occur Oct 2026 by invitation following a phone screen.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in North Carolina or a valid compact license by start date.
• Graduation from an accredited BSN program or higher; ADN or diploma acceptable.
• No prior operating room experience required; experienced RNs and new grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the operating room training program framework.
• Engage in patient-centered care and collaborate with OR teams.
• Meet program start date requirements and participate in orientation.
