Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the operating room team on a full-time day shift in Abington, PA. Prior OR experience is required; circulating and scrubbing experience preferred.

Four 10-hour shifts per week available. You will provide patient- and family-centered care, apply the nursing process, collaborate with inter-professional teams, and participate in safety and quality initiatives to deliver excellent care.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma required in nursing.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered practice.
• Cultural awareness and ability to engage diverse patients.
• Effective communication and collaboration with care teams.
• Knowledge of nursing assessment, care planning, and discharge processes.
• Proficiency in health information documentation and patient education.
• BLS certification and PA RN licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the operating room with circulating and scrubbing duties.
• Educate patients and families in understandable terms and align care with their preferences.
• Adhere to nursing protocols to minimize risk and ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with inter-professional teams to deliver coordinated care.
• Participate in safety and quality initiatives and professional development.
• Support discharge planning and post-acute care arrangements.
