Job summary

Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains, NJ, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. This full-time day shift (7a–8p) role involves collaborating with the surgical team to care for patients undergoing procedures, administering medications, monitoring patients, and documenting care throughout the perioperative period.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure and BLS certification; BSN preferred with ACLS and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• All ASN must complete BSN within five years of start date.
• Master’s degree in nursing or related field preferred.
• 1+ year of nursing experience preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
• Adminsisters medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
• Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
• Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans with the team.
• Records patient vital signs and medical information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
