Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Surgicare Waxahachie is seeking a Registered Nurse - Operating Room to support surgical cases with patient positioning, prep, and circulating across Colon & Rectal, ENT, Gastroenterology and Orthopedics. Position requires weekdays only with no holidays, weekends, nights, or on-call duties.

Must be a graduate of an accredited RN program with an active state license and BLS/ACLS/PALS as required, plus 1 year OR experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS, ACLS, or PALS as required by the center.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience working as an RN in the Operating Room.

Responsibilities

• Position the patient, prep the patient, and circulate the case in the OR.
• Provide nursing care during surgical cases across specified specialties (Colon & Rectal, ENT, Gastroenterology, Orthopedics).
• Demonstrate nursing judgment and decision making in patient care.

Registered Nurse Operating Room at Baylor Scott & White Surgicare Waxahachie:

The Registered Nurse Operating Room provides nursing care and service during surgical cases. The Operating Room RN will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case. Experienced in surgical procedures in the following specialties: Colon & Rectal Surgery, ENT, Gastroenterology, Orthopedics.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS, ACLS, or PALS as required by the center
• A minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
