Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club is hiring a Registered Nurse for our Operating Room. The OR RN will provide patient care during operative and invasive procedures in a high-volume surgical setting.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, a current Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS, and a minimum of two years OR experience. We offer a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
• Licensure/Certification: Current Texas RN License
• BLS and ACLS required and PALS
• Required Experience: Minimum two years previous OR experience
• Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
• Ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees
• Knowledge of policies and procedures specific to operating room nurse

Responsibilities

• The OR Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to care of the patient experiencing an operative or other invasive procedure.
• Care for adult patients, including geriatric, and pediatric patients from 1 month through adolescence within OR scope.
• Perform nursing activities for operative and invasive procedures and collaborate with team.

The OR Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to care of the patient experiencing an operative or other invasive procedure.

The staff member can expect to care for adult patients, including the older adult through geriatric, and pediatric patients from 1 month through adolescence. Our scope of service includes gastroenterology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, urology, pain management, ophthalmology, and general surgery.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.

Licensure/Certification:

• Current Texas RN License
• BLS and ACLS required and PALS

Required Experience:

• Minimum two years previous OR experience
• Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees
• Knowledgeable of policies and procedures specific to operating room nurse
