Job summary

Advanced Surgery Center Round Rock is seeking an experienced Operating Room Supervisor to oversee staff, materials, and sterile processing in the ambulatory setting. You will ensure compliance with procedures, schedules, and quality initiatives while guiding day-to-day OR operations.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of OR experience and 1 year of leadership, with Texas RN licensure and ACLS/BLS. A Bachelor’s in Nursing is preferred, and strong communication and multitasking skills are

Qualifications

• 5 years Operating Room experience minimum.
• 1 year previous progressive leadership experience.
• Active RN License for State of Texas.
• ACLS/BLS certifications.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of personnel, materials and sterile processing in the OR.
• Oversee day-to-day OR operations, schedules and equipment maintenance.
• Support quality control and performance improvement plans within the department.
• Ensure adherence to procedures and schedules, maintaining patient safety.

Job Purpose: Responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of personnel, materials and sterile processing within the operating room.

DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Ensure adherence to procedures and schedules.
• Supervise the procurement and maintenance of equipment and supplies
• Support quality control and performance improvement plans within the department.
• Supervise day to day functions of the operating rooms, operating room schedules and sterile processing
• Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Must be understanding, caring, and patient at all times
• Ability to multitask
• Must be flexible in carrying out his/her duties.
• Knowledge of methods and equipment used in the operating rooms

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

• 5 years Operating Room Experience minimum

• Must be able to work as scheduled – typically from 8:00 – 5:00 M-F
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to bend, stoop and stretch
