Qualifications

• Education Required - High school graduate of equivalent.
• Preferred - Graduate of an accepted Surgical Tech Program.
• Work Experience Required - 3 years of operating room experience.
• Preferred - 5 years of operating room experience.
• Certifications Preferred - Surgical Technology certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient scheduling and inventory for day of surgery.
• Ensures implantable devices and instruments are ready.
• Maintains clinical knowledge, technical skills, and credentials.
• Performs direct patient care duties.
• Communicates patient care needs to patients and staff.
• Adapts to changes in department due to census, acuity and resources.
