• Cleans Operating Rooms and content within the procedural area between procedures following departmental and EVS guidelines.
• Disposes of hazardous wastes according to protocol and maintains standard precautions.
• Maintains general cleaning of intra-operative areas and nearby spaces (sterile rooms, dirty utility rooms, hallways, holding areas, lounges, storage, lockers, bathrooms, etc.).
• Assists with transferring patients under surgical team direction and ensures patient safety during transport (rails up, stretchers locked, IVs/catheters secured).
• Maintains isolation procedures when necessary.
• Replenishes housekeeping supplies, notifies deficits, and participates in cost containment through efficient use of resources.
• Adheres to hospital safety policies and universal precautions; reports hazards and maintains safe environment.
• Maintains area security, keeps storage areas organized, and reports damages or maintenance needs.
• Participates in unit-based goals and performance improvement projects as a team member.
• Compiles year-end accomplishments and goals during annual evaluation; participates in relevant training and conferences.
• Performs other tasks as required by department needs.
