Job summary

SRMC Summersville Regional Medical Center is seeking an Environmental Services team member to maintain clean, safe patient areas. You will perform cleaning, waste removal, linen and supply replenishment in patient rooms, corridors, and OR areas, following established procedures.

Work schedule is 40 hours per week in Summersville, WV. The role is non-exempt and requires adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Scheduling work based on hospital needs.
• Ability to interact politely with guests.
• Understanding of areas, supplies and equipment.
• Ability to read and follow written work tasks.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and ensures all areas are clean and in good repair; report problems to supervisor.
• cleans all assigned areas including patient rooms, exam rooms, public areas, toilets, OR rooms, offices and equipment.
• Removes trash from all assigned areas.
• Replenishes paper towels, toilet paper and soap in all locations.
• Makes beds following cleaning procedures in discharge rooms and on-call rooms.
• Maintains equipment in clean, working condition; report issues.
• Moves equipment, furniture, and cleans walls or carpets as assigned.
• Follows safety and sanitation regulations.
