Qualifications

• Administers all types of medications correctly per age group for all populations served according to policy.
• Demonstrates proficient technical skills and operational knowledge of all equipment used on the unit.
• Performs daily rotational task assignment as directed.
• Supervises Nursing Assistants in basic nursing functions and demonstrates safe patient ambulation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments through observation, interviews, and physical examinations to gather patient history and vital signs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with SMART goals in collaboration with patients and healthcare teams.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, including IV therapies, and perform wound care and procedures.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Advocate for patient safety and coordinate resources to improve outcomes.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and research initiatives.
