Overview:

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA, is seeking a full-time Operating Room Attendant. This position offers a daytime shift, approximately 40 hours per week, with hours from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, including an on-call requirement from 7 am to 7 pm on weekends (about once a month).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Cleaning, mopping, transporting, opening sterile supplies, and ensuring rooms have necessary supplies for surgeries.
• Supporting professional staff by transporting patients and specimens, cleaning operating rooms, and stocking supplies.
• Assisting with patient positioning and preparing the operating room for procedures.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• No specific certification required; BLS certification within 90 days preferred.
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred.
