Job summary

Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, AL is looking for an Operating Room Assistant (ORA) to support the surgical team. This full-time role runs 6:00 am–2:30 pm and reports to the Charge Nurse, RN, and CRNA. You will transport patients, assist with positioning, and help maintain sterile, ready-to-use operating rooms between cases.

The position requires a High School diploma and at least one year of prior experience. OR/ED clinical exposure is preferred, along with experience in supply ordering.

Qualifications

Under the direction of the Charge Nurse, RN, and CRNA, the Operating Room Assistant (ORA) performs assigned patient care duties such as transporting patients, holding patient extremities, properly clean operating rooms per guidelines in between cases and performs support functions such as planning and providing supplies and the equipment needed for delivery of patient care.

High School diploma required; Some college classes preferred. One year of previous experience in any setting required. Clinical experience in hospital setting such as OR, ED or other similar work place is preferred; Experience in supply ordering preferred.
