Job summary

Realign Llc in Alpharetta, GA seeks an experienced Middleware Engineer to manage IBM BAW solutions, install, configure, and maintain IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.

You will lead setup and operations on OpenShift/Kubernetes, manage middleware stack, perform health checks, patches, automation with Ansible/Jenkins, and collaborate with security and infra teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting IBM BAW in production environments.
• Experience setting up and supporting IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA), ideally on Red Hat OpenShift.
• Strong knowledge of middleware technologies: IBM WebSphere Application Server, Liberty, Elasticsearch, Postgres DB, DB2/Oracle, MQ, FileNet, LDAP integrations.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Bash/PowerShell scripting).
• Demonstrated expertise in issue troubleshooting, performance tuning, and environment management.
• Strong knowledge on OpenTelemetry monitoring tools - Prometheus, Loki, Grafana, Splunk
• Familiarity with high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR) configurations, and related concepts.
• Experience with cloud and containerization platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Good understanding of ITIL JIRA, Service NOW, Zapplets

Responsibilities

• Lead or participate in CP4BA setup and admin on-prem and cloud.
• Manage middleware components and integrations for BAW.
• Perform health checks, capacity planning, monitoring, and tuning.
• Apply patches, upgrades, and hotfixes minimizing downtime.
• Automate deployment, scaling, and lifecycle tasks with automation tools.
• Develop and maintain runbooks and technical docs.
• Collaborate with dev, OA, infra, and security teams for deployments.
• Implement and monitor HA/DR for IBM BAW and Cloud Pak.
• Provide support for BAW environments, troubleshooting incidents.
• Participate in weekend production deployment and support.
• Ensure security guidelines compliance across the stack.
