Job summary

Volto Consulting in Alpharetta, GA seeks an experienced IBM BPM Middleware Engineer to manage, support, and optimize IBM BAW solutions. You will install, configure, and maintain IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation, ensuring high availability and reliability across environments.

Responsibilities include configuring CP4BA on-premises and cloud, managing middleware components, and driving performance tuning and automation with Ansible/Jenkins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) in production environments.
• Experience setting up and supporting IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA), ideally on Red Hat OpenShift.
• Strong knowledge of middleware technologies: IBM WebSphere Application Server, Liberty, DB2/Oracle, MQ, LDAP integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead or participate in the setup, configuration, and administration of CP4BA on-premises and cloud (OpenShift/Kubernetes).
• Manage middleware components (WAS/Liberty, DB2/Oracle, MQ, LDAP integrations).
• Perform health checks, capacity planning, monitoring, and performance tuning of middleware and workflow environments.
• Execute patches, upgrades, and hotfixes with minimal downtime.
• Automate deployment, scaling, and lifecycle tasks using Ansible or Jenkins.
• Develop runbooks and knowledge base articles for internal support teams.
• Collaborate with development, OA, infrastructure, and security teams for deployments and troubleshooting.
• Implement, configure, and monitor HA/DR for BAW and Cloud Pak at middleware layer.
• Provide support for BAW environments including root-cause analysis and incident resolution.
• Participate in weekend production deployment and support.
• Ensure security guidelines and best practices across middleware stack.
